Spring has come to Granbury and everything is beautiful for the Easter weekend. After everyone arrived it was off to the front yard for an Easter egg hunt. The flowers survived and everyone ended up with a basketful of eggs. It was a candy high for eveyrone.
It was wonderful to get together for the holiday. Its a great day to reflect on the purpose of the Easter holiday. Christ gave us the greatest gift of the atonement giving us the chance to return to Heavenly Father. I love having the family here for dinner and the opportunity to just enjoy each other. We had dinner and than Scott and Mark headed for the dock to see if they could catch anything. As you can see Mark was first to pull one in, but definitely not large enough for dinner, so I guess we'll stick to the ham. Pretty soon most of the kids were on the dock pulling in little fish left and right. We missed those not here and hope they had a wonderful day with their families.
Diana has been wanting us to come down and go with her to Giddings, Texas with the senior group to their once a month Monday night country western concert put on by the Rotary Club. We were looking forward to seeing her. Its been a while since we were in Austin. We jumped their bus at the Park district for the hour ride down with a bunch of her friends. Half way down to Giddings we stopped for bar-be-que dinner and than on to the concert. They have quite a list of entertainers who have their name on the list to come entertain. One guiter player came from Houston. It was a fun night even though I didn't win any of the raffles. Thanks Diana for a fun evening and it was good seeing you.
