A DAY ON THE LAKE

The week before the 4th of July, Scott and Samantha came to Texas to drop the twins off at our house, while they went to El Paso for a couple of days to househunt for the impending move to El Paso. Captain Jones and his co-captain decided to take us all for a boat ride on Lake Granbury. Is Scott holding his Kindle? Is he bored??? Doesn't he know as co-captain he has duties??

Payton is taking her first boat ride and doesn't seem to mind the life jacket at all.

Scott and Grandpa, later took the boys for a jet ski ride. And yes, they all came back with jet ski hair. But it sure was fun according to them.

The weather was great and we got in lots of good swim time. Although, I think I spotted 2 little sea aliens in our jacuzzi.

A REMODEL FOR CARRIE & BRAD

When I asked Carrie what she wanted for her birthday she said some mirrors for her bathroom, so she could get rid of the big wall mirrors. Little did I realize it would turn into a 3 day project with a rush to get it done before new baby arrived. It started out with her Dad and I removing the big wall mirrors and dad moving (5 hours later) a light fixture over a few inches to be above the sink. Debbi and I took on the painting as Carrie was due in a few days and we didn't want her breathing fumes. Little did we know that the hole we had to repair would be such a project and that the paint wouldn't stick to the old glossy paint. But we hung in there and after 3 days of experimenting and working on it we came up with a finished project. Carrie loved it and I told her next year I will be getting her a gift card and I don't want to know what she buys with it. (Just kidding Carrie=))

GRANDPA'S 87TH BIRTHDAY

We had a little impromtive birthday for grandpa a few days before his birthday. Jim is leaving for Scout camp tomorrow, so we celebrated a few days early. Carrie decided to drive out to join us. We got him a photo developer for his new camera, so he could print off pictures he wants to show others. Another new toy to learn how to use. He's sure he's up to it. (Wheres Debbi when you need a birthday cake??)

Carrie looks like shes about to deliver, but we have 3 weeks left!
