A MUSIC REVUE IN AUSTIN

Diana has been wanting us to come down and go with her to Giddings, Texas with the senior group to their once a month Monday night country western concert put on by the Rotary Club. We were looking forward to seeing her. Its been a while since we were in Austin.  We jumped their bus at the Park district for the hour ride down with a bunch of her friends.  Half way down to Giddings we stopped for bar-be-que dinner and than on to the concert. They have quite a list of entertainers who have their name on the list to come entertain. One guiter player came from Houston.  It was a fun night even though I didn't win any of the raffles.  Thanks Diana for a fun evening and it was good seeing you.

A VISIT TO SEE THE EASTER BUNNY

Guess who we ran into at the Stonebriar Mall.  I guess he flew in to visit with the little ones who visited the mall.  Samuel just kept staring at him. Everyone got a hug and off we went to do a little shopping.

RELIEF SOCIETY BIRTHDAY PARTY- A PURSE-NAL JOURNEY

Carrie and Presley joined me at the Granbury 1st Ward Relief Society annual birthday party-A Purse-nal Journey.  We each brought a purse that would be filled with personal items to be donated to the local womans shelter.  Often women and children come to the center with nothing except what they're wearing.  These items are welcomed to be given to these ladies. It was a fun night of good food and games.  Presley was especially excited about the desserts which looked like little purses made from cake.  She took all of the purse pictures. She had a hard time picking out what purse she wanted have a piece of cake from as each was a different flavor.

NEWEST FAMILY TO JOIN US IN TEXAS

We're excited to have more family move to Texas this month.  Jeff and Rachael and their cutie, Acelynn, moved to Wichita Falls.  Rachael was glad to move back closer to her family in Oklahoma. Jeff and family dropped by great grandpa's on their way down to Fort Worth to return their moving van.  Now if we could only get Pat and Chuck to leave that snowy north.  Again, welcome Steinke family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIANNA AND ELIZABETH

We all gathered together for a fun night of bowling at Main Event for Brianna and Elizabeth's birthdays. Mark ordered up 2 hours of bowling on two lanes. Have you ever seen 11 kids under 9 on one alley?? The adults on the other.  Of course there was more goofing off than bowling. The only ones in contention of winning the highest score was Grandpa and Oscar and what they scored wasn't anything to brag about.  HeeHee.I'm sure glad noone was on the alley next to us.  Once I looked up to see Sam and his ball sliding half way down the lane. OOPS. Everyone had a great time and the pizza was good. Thanks Mark for a fun night for everyone.

POSSUM KINGDOM LAKE

We called gramps and asked him if he wanted to join us on a little adventure to Possum Kingdom Lake. We've been wanting to take a drive out there to see the lake.  We called our builder, Steve, since he docks his boat there, to see what we shouldn't miss. He told us of a few things to see and to, of course, have lunch at The Grill at The Harbors. The red raspberry cobbler at The Grill was to die for. We didn't leave a drop in the pan. It was a fun afternoon and the weather was in the 80's. Nice to just get up and go (you can do these things when your retired-heehee. Oh and on the way we passed the largest rocker in the state in Lipan. I couldn't talk dad into climbing up in it for the picture.

PAYTON'S BLESSING AT THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS

This little doll was on her best behavior on Sunday at church during her blessing given by her dad.  Grandpa was happy to be able to participate in the blessing.

We enjoyed our weekend in St. Louis to participate in the blessing and to spend time being Grampy and Grammy to Kaden and Lincoln. We colored, read and took a trip to the mall in downtown St. Louis where we found this great spaceship. Do you have a money?  Everyone had a ride.
