WHERE IS THE WATER GOING?

George is watching Scott and the kids walk out to the sandbar just down from our house. Why does everyone think it's so fun? The kids picked up lots of sea shells. Who would think there would be some in Lake Granbury. Unfortunately, none contained a pearl. We had a fun week this summer after the 4th of July with Debbi and Scott, Carrie and Brad, Rick and Julie, Bryce, and the Lombards and their grandson, Hunter.

Presley decided the pool was more fun. She has finally learned to swim and is practicing, practicing, practicing.

George and Jim took the kids out on the jet skiis and and tubes for a wild ride. Looks like Hunter and Spencer were able to stay inside the boat even with George's wild driving.

How could we miss an opportunity to go to the Fort Worth Rodeo at the Stockyards. Sydney and Spencer sure could pass for brama bulls. But much cuter.

Spencer and Rick were really reeling them in, but I didn't see any big enough for the table. Rick is finally able to put a worm on the hook, but I don't see him ever cleaning one so just as well.

The week was topped off with attending church with friends and family. Bryce said he might even wear his church clothes again. Love summer and family and friends visiting. Anyone for a boat ride? Come on out.

COULD LIFE BE ANY BETTER

While Connie and George were here, Connie and I headed out to find this cupcake shop in Hudson Oaks. We got there at 4:30pm and there wasn't much to be had, but we did walk away with a dozen of these little gems. And do I mean gems. Red velvet, chocolate, lemon, strawberry with white Belgium chocolate curls on top. Do I need say more. A little bit of heaven on earth. And don't anyone DARE eat one without permission!

I'm sure I gained 10 lbs while they were here, but it was so worth it!

GRANDBABY #24 MAKES A GRAND ENTRANCE

Baby Bronson James Martone makes a grand entrance into the world on July 8,2009. No these aren't the nurses he was suppose to have and no this wasn't the hospital he was suppose to have been born at and no he didn't have the doctor he was suppose to have. Little baby Bronson decided to make a fast entry and was delivered on an EMT cart as Carrie was being put into an ambulance in their front yard. Carrie called just as I was getting into bed and I assured her I would leave and be there in plenty of time. As I reach Cresson (10 miles from home) she called back and yelled at me to hurry. Little did I know when she said hurry she meant it. He was born a few minutes later. Doctors on staff were 6-8 EMT's and she was rushed to Lewisville Medical Center (closest to her house). Luckily all was well and even though Carrie thought she was an "epidural kind of mom" she did without. Debbi showed up as they were coming into the Emergency room and we arrived soon after. Bronson was a healthy little boy weighing 7 lbs and was 20 3/4 inches long. Offical birth time was 1:12am (though I'm not sure how that was decided in the commotion)

He sure is a cute little guy and had lots of visitors in his one day at the hospital. Carrie wondered how the relaxing hospital time could be over with so soon. Its back to being a full time mom with Presley and Sam waiting at home. She definitely was the talk of the hospital ward. Everyone wanted to hear her story. Welcome to this fast pace world we live in, Bronson James.

OUCH, THAT MUST HURT!

Scott has a new found love and its called paintballing. Hes just sure everyone is gonna be crazy about it. And no, he could not talk me into it. Why someone would want to go out and have someone shoot at you with a little paintball and that it would leave a bruise is beyond me??

Debbi and Scott had headed home so they weren't around for the final evidence of injury, but Debbi is sure her dad shot her in the ribs and left a hugh bruise even though he was on her team. Jim said, "no" it wasn't him (could he help it if his googles kept fogging up and he couldn't tell where he was aiming). Some of those bruises look painful. I don't understand the whole thing??

OOHS AND AAHS OF 4TH OF JULY

How else could we usher in the holiday without a cake from Debbi's kitchen. We combined it with Makayla's 3rd birthday for a great day at the lake with family. Some of those that were able to make it out were Deb/Scott, Melody/Mark, Tiffany/Richard, Scott/Sam, Melody's brother/girlfriend and Carrie/kids. Melody and Mark brought the makings of a party to include pinata, cake and treats for everyone.

Tiffany came with a new hair cut (I think she did her own) Love the bangs!

Did everyone get some candy?? The day ended with seeing the fireworks from the back of Scotts's truck in Granbury and the kids lighting sparklers in the backyard. I hope those that couldn't come out had a great holiday.

A DAY ON THE LAKE

The week before the 4th of July, Scott and Samantha came to Texas to drop the twins off at our house, while they went to El Paso for a couple of days to househunt for the impending move to El Paso. Captain Jones and his co-captain decided to take us all for a boat ride on Lake Granbury. Is Scott holding his Kindle? Is he bored??? Doesn't he know as co-captain he has duties??

Payton is taking her first boat ride and doesn't seem to mind the life jacket at all.

Scott and Grandpa, later took the boys for a jet ski ride. And yes, they all came back with jet ski hair. But it sure was fun according to them.

The weather was great and we got in lots of good swim time. Although, I think I spotted 2 little sea aliens in our jacuzzi.
